Best Buds

Daisy and Emma are best buds in the making. Daisy has been so great since Emma came home. She has given up her #1 spot on the blog, her daily walks are non-existent or are slowed down by a stroller, and she is missisng much of the attention she used to get. Even so, she loves Emma. If she had it her way she would lick her head to toe (she still tries). Anyone who has met Daisy in the past would not believe this is her just sleeping next to her little pal. Best dog ever!

I found this video of nieces Maddie and Isabelle (and Dan) from my mom's wedding this summer. It's probably time to tell Emma what a crazy (but fun) family she has been born into (my side at least!)

Pregnancy Updates?

When I found out I was expecting baby Emma I signed up for weekly pregnancy updates.  So today I check my email and I had a update for week 37.  The page always has a woman on it.  I liked her before but lately she's a real "know it all."  Here was my update:)

What changes are occurring with your body?

If you have been measuring your uterus throughout your pregnancy, you may notice that there is little to no difference at this point (WRONG, there is a BIG difference!). Most likely you will not notice any significant weight gain from this point on. Your total weight gain should be around 25 to 35 pounds.  News flash lady, I was up 40 pounds at 32 weeks.  Only GOD knows if the scale would have survived me at this point!  *Sam knows how much the scale read!

How big is your baby?

Your baby is most likely between 16 ½ to 19 ½ inches long and weighs 6 to 7 pounds.* WRONG AGAIN.  Emma is 20 inches long and weighs 7 pounds 6 oz as of last Friday!  Can't wait to see what she is at in 3 more weeks!

What should you plan for this week?

You should be finishing up childbirth classes and taking care of any other preparations for the baby. Make sure your bags are packed, and you may want to try a test run to the hospital just to be on the safe side.  HA!  Emma had other plans and now we are at home learning the hard way!
