in her defense it does look very real!

Times are a changin!!!
This is how Emma is spending most of her time these days.
She has more energy than her "momma" and "dadda"!

The inner workings of a greedy piggy's mind...
I wanted to take a couple pictures of Emma in her new classroom yesterday afternoon. I just took a couple random pictures as I picked Emma up yesterday. I couldn't stop laughing after I saw the crime I had captured on film! (click photos to enlarge)

Emma's One Year Stats!
Yesterday Emma had her one year appointment with her pediatrician. She seems to be meeting all of her milestones and is healthy as a horse. Thankfully, her last pesky ear infection seems to be all cleared up as well. At her appointment she had a lead test done and got 5 immunizations. She was very brave! Some stats and facts on Emma:
Stats
Weight: 25lb, 13 oz; 95th percentile (same weight for the past 2 months)
Length: 30.25 inches; 80th percentile (she is sprouting!)
Facts
1. Emma is saying words like MO! (more), Deezehe (Daisy), momma, dadda, no, baba (bottle), and a few more we don't quite understand.
1. Emma is saying words like MO! (more), Deezehe (Daisy), momma, dadda, no, baba (bottle), and a few more we don't quite understand.
2. Emma is walking more and more on her own. Her confidence is certainly growing!
3. She can follow certain commands such as "sit down, arms up, and put your toys here"
4. She understands "no" perfectly well but understands it more as a request rather than a command. She mostly chooses to deny such requests.
5. Temper! Temper! These days Emma is showing her frustration and anger by hitting herself and others. She doesn't mess around and goes straight for the head and face, however she does use her arsenal of pinching, kicking and scratching as well.
6. Still won't sleep in her bed (yeah, yeah, I know what you told me)
7. Still wants to be held all morning long. Today I had to sacrifice a whole bottle of lotion and a container of dental floss just to get enough time to get dressed.
8. CHARMER! This girl is fully committed to whatever needs to be done to get your attention (especially in restaurants). Once she has caught someones attention she then attempts to melt her audience with a buttery smile (it borders on being over the top)
9. Emma has recently graduated out of the infant room to the toddler room at daycare!! She adapted the best out of all the kids. No tears, just fun
10. DIVA. "Do it Emma's way and no one gets hurt"

We are loving our vacation in Panama City Beach! The weather has been beautiful after a close call with tropical storm Claudette. Emma loves the sand! Here are some pics of our time here so far:

Today is no different than any other day
It is ALL about ME!!
"I am now 16 weeks, 2 days pregnant. I have started to show, and I am so proud of my belly!" We heard the baby's heart beat today. The sound is by far the most amazing blessing I have received"
-Krista's Journal, April 24, 2008
"I'm so excited to find out if the baby is a boy or girl. I don't have a preference, but Dan thinks a little girl would be nice. I've been thinking it is a boy. I'm probably right"
-Krista's Journal, April 25, 2008
"We decided to name the baby Emma Grace Riggs. She is kicking all the time. I love her so much already. I hope she grows up knowing how much we wished for her"
-Krista's Journal, May 29, 2008
"Emma! You really had plans of your own. When I saw you my heart melted. I've never felt more joy or more fear"
-Krista's Journal, August 18, 2008
"I'm tired, overweight, grumpy, unorganized, forgetful and perpetually behind schedule, but I am acutely aware of how blessed I am."
-Krista's Journal, January 18, 2009
"I have not found anything better than the sight of my baby smiling, the sound of her little voice, the smell of graham crackers on her tiny sticky fingers or the feeling of her soft fluffy hair. She is better than sunshine, simply perfect"
-Krista's Journal, July 11, 2009
