The Many Meanings of "Big Girl"

This morning we ate some delicious daddy-made pancakes. Emma decided she want to eat her breakfast at the table in a "big girl chair" and not her high chair (another sign of her toddler independence, *sniff*).

She said loud and proud "Emmy a BIG GIRL" and we all celebrated how grown up she is.

Then she said "Mommy a BIG GIRL" and her daddy took the opportunity to point out that "BIG GIRL" could mean something more like "hefty" or "large and in charge" (and he had himself a good laugh at my expense).

Then she said "Daddy a BIG GIRL" (why yes my little one, he certainly can be)

Now who's having the last laugh?
