Mila's 3 month stats

Emma and I took Mila to her 3 month check up on Halloween (so you kinda already know this trip was doomed).  The pediatrican confirmed what we already knew, that Mila is super healthy and super duper cute!  She is starting to outgrow her reflux (yeah!)

Mila weighed in at 11lb, 13.3 oz and 22 inches long.  She is almost 25th percentile for height and almost 50th percentile for weight.  Compared to big sister Emma, Mila is measuring a bit more petite.  Although like her big sis, Mila is growing some blonde hair in behind the jet black hair she was born with.  Here are a few milestones the Mila Monster is reaching.
1. reaching for things with both hands and feet
2. discovering her hands
3. sucking on her hands
4.  giggling, recognizing faces, trying to babble
5. voicing her opinion more often (wanting to be held)
6. sleeping for one 4-5hr stretch, then up every 2 hour at night
7. transitioning into 3 month clothes
8. Adores her own reflection

Mila got two shots and one oral vaccine.  Emma couldn't look.  She hid her face and covered her ears when Mila got her shots.  It wasn't pretty.  For the most part Emma was a good helper during the visit, but we did have a few moments of eye contact that read like this

Me:  I'm warning you kid.  You are about to lose a million privileges, and I might go insane.
Her:  We are in public.. You aren't going to anything.
(cue the whistling wild west music you hear before a showdown)

At one point I stopped the pediatrician mid conversation to turn to Emma to reprimand her.  She didn't care. The kid has no shame and cannot be embarrassed.  She even had the nerve to tell the pediatrician the candy selection they were offering her (not the patient) was not up to her standards.  Good grief!
